Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 May 2026

Medical Certificate Generator (“MedPatra”, “we”, “the service”) is operated by an independent developer and provides a browser-only medical certificate template generator at medicalcertificategenerator.app.

This policy explains what data we process, why, and your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”).

1. What data we collect

Personal data you type into the generator form (patient name, age, gender, diagnosis, doctor details, clinic, dates, etc.):

  • Processed entirely in your browser.
  • Never sent to our servers.
  • Never stored, logged, or transmitted by us.
  • Discarded the moment you close the tab.

We have no database, no user accounts, and no sign-up. We cannot see what you typed even if we wanted to.

2. Cookies and tracking

We currently do not use:

  • Cookies.
  • Local storage for personal data.
  • Browser fingerprinting.
  • Analytics that track individual users.

We may introduce privacy-respecting analytics (for example, aggregate page-view counts) or display advertising in the future. If we do, this policy will be updated and a notice will be shown on this page.

3. Third-party services

The site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect basic request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for infrastructure operation under its own privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

We do not share any of your form input with Vercel or any other third party.

4. PDF downloads

When you click Download Draft PDF, the PDF is generated in your browser and downloaded directly to your device. The file is never uploaded to a server.

5. Your rights under the DPDP Act 2023

Even though we do not store personal data, you have the right to:

  • Confirm what data is processed about you (answer: nothing persistent on our side).
  • Request correction or erasure of any personal data we hold (answer: nothing to erase since we store nothing).
  • Withdraw consent at any time (answer: simply close the tab).
  • File a grievance with the Data Protection Board of India if you believe your rights have been violated.

6. Children's privacy

The service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Since we do not collect data at all, this point is moot in practice.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves (for example, if we introduce analytics or display advertising). Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date.
